Actress Kangana Ranaut has criticised director Karan Johar for sharing a cryptic post after facing criticism for allegedly ruining the careers of Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma.
New Delhi: Actress Kangana Ranaut has criticised director Karan Johar for sharing a cryptic post after facing criticism for allegedly ruining the careers of Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma. Kangana took to her Instagram stories on Sunday night and alleged that earlier, Karan would "insult and bully" her on live television.
The actress shared a screenshot of Karan Johar's cryptic note shared by a paparazzo account. Kangana wrote, "Ek waqt tha jab Chacha Chaudhary elite nepo mafia walon ke saath national television pe mujhe insult and bully karta tha (There was a time when Chacha Chaudhary along with the elite nepo mafia would insult and bully me on national television) because I couldn't speak English..."
She added further, "She added, "Aaj inki Hindi dekh ke khayal aaya, abhi toh sirf tumhari Hindi sudhari hai aage aage dekho hota hai kya (Today I realised after seeing his Hindi, so far I have rectified your Hindi, see what happens henceforth)."
Filmmaker Karan Johar has been receiving a lot of flak after Priyanka Chopra’s comment on politics in Bollywood and his old comment about wanting to "murder" Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma's career.
An old video of Karan Johar talking about how he once wanted to end Anushka Sharma’s career went viral and the filmmaker was slammed by writer-editor Apurva Asrani, director Vivek Agnihotri and Kangana Ranaut.
Karan Johar finally reacted to all the criticism through a cryptic post on Instagram on Sunday. Taking to his Instagram stories, he wrote, "Laga lo ilzaam, hum jhukne waalon mein se nahi.., jhoot ka ban jao ghulam...., hum bolne waalon mein se nahi..., jitna neecha dikhaoge..., jitne aarop lagaoge..., hum girne waalon mein se nahi..., humara karam humari Vijay hai...aap utha lo talvaar... Hum marne waalon mein se nahi," he wrote.
Karan confessed to trying to sabotage Anushka Sharma's Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.’
The video is from the 18th MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2016. Karan attended the event with his 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' actresses Anushka and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the promotion of the film. Speaking to Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra, KJo had said in jest: "I completely wanted to murder Anushka Sharma's career because when Aditya Chopra showed me her picture, I was like no no, there is no need for you to sign Anushka Sharma. There was another lead actor whom I wanted Adi to sign. I watched the film reluctantly, but when I watched 'Band Baaja Baarat', I felt like I owed her an apology and a compliment, an apology because I felt so embarrassed that I would have ruined the graph of an exceptional talent.”
Recently, Priyanka Chopra’s statement about politics in Bollywood had also brought Karan in spotlight with Kangana Ranaut and others blaming him for the same.
