Kangana Ranaut Compares Herself To Meryl Streep; Responds To Twitter User Who Says 'She Is Nowhere Close' To 3-Time Oscar Winner

Kangana Ranaut promised to 'give up her arrogance' if the fans are able to name one actress who is better than her

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been hogging all the limelight with her statements on social media, treated her fans with new pictures from ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Thalaivi’. The ‘Panga’ star claimed that no other actress in the world has the ‘kind of range’ which she displays at the moment. She compared herself with veteran Hollywood actress Merly Streep and said that she possesses the raw talent like her and can any challenging role.

The ‘Queen’ star further stated that she can perform action sequences like ‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot. Her tweet created a lot of buzz as the Pahadi beauty compared herself with two of the most power-packed performances in Hollywood.

“Massive transformation alert, The kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now, I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot #Thalaivi #Dhaakad,” Kangana tweeted.

The ‘Fashion’ actress posted another tweet and asked the users to name a better actress than her. She said that is ready to ‘give up her arrogance’ if the fans are able to someone is able to name an actress, who shows ‘more range and brilliance of craft’.

“I am open for debate if anyone can show me more range and brilliance of craft than me by any other actress on this planet I promise to give up my arrogance, until then I can surely afford the luxury of pride,” Kangana wrote on the micro-blogging site.

The ‘Jugdementall Hai Kya’ actress responded to one user, who said that she is ‘nowhere closer’ to Meryl Streep. She mentioned her hit films ‘Queen’, ‘Fashion’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and asked if Streep could do roles in her movies.

“I honestly want to know why do we worship white people? Forget their budgets and our age gap, tell me about just acting can she do Thalaivi and Dhaakad? Queen and Tanu? Fashion and Panga? Kaya and Datto? Answer is she can’t, then why not emerge from the deep rooted complex?,” Kangana wrote.

Twitter recently deleted Kangana’s tweets from its platform for violating the rules. The actress took a dig at Rohit Sharma and other Indian cricketers over their ‘stance’ on the farmers’ protest in one of their tweets.

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen as a spy in ‘Dhaakad’. The action thriller, which also stars Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal, is slated to hit the silver screens on October 1, 2021.

The National Award winning actress will essay the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in ‘Thalaivi’. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the much-awaited film. She also has ‘Tejas’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ in pipeline.
