Irrfan Khan's 'Hindi Medium' Co-star & Pakistani Actress Saba Qamar REACTS On His Death
Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, who played Irrfan Khan's on-screen wife in 'Hindi Medium', said that the actor has left a huge irreplaceable void in cinema.
New Delhi: The sudden demise of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has come as a shock to the entire industry. The talented actor, who was known for his power-packed performances, passed away at Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital on Wednesday (April 29). Several tinsel town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra mourned the actor’s death.
Irrfan Khan’s ‘Hindi Medium’ co-star and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar took to Twitter and Instagram to share an emotional post for the actor. Saba, who played Irrfan’s on-screen wife, offered her condolences and said that she was deeply disturbed to hear the news about his death.

“Deeply disturbed to hear about the passing of Irrfan Khan. I still can’t absorb the news. It feels like yesterday coming back from the sets of Hindi Medium. You taught me a lot as an actor and a mentor. It is indeed a huge loss to the cinema world. Such a brilliant actor gone too soon. You left a huge irreplaceable void in Cinema Irfan. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May Allah give them strength to bear this loss. RIP Raj, Yours Only, Meeta,” the ‘Maat’ actress wrote while sharing pictures with Irrfan on social media.
Irrfan and Saba played a couple in Saket Chaudhary’s ‘Hindi Medium’, which released in 2017. The comedy drama focused on a couple's struggle to get their daughter admitted to a prestigious English-medium school in Delhi. Irrfan received the Filmfare Best Actor award for his performance in the film. His last film ‘Angrezi Medium’ is the sequel of ‘Hindi Medium’. The 'Piku' actor was kept in ICU under observation for colon infection. The 'Paan Singh Tomar' star was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor in 2018 and he flew aboard to receive medical treatment for the same. His funeral took place in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon.
