Gumraah Box Office Collection Day 1: Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur's Starrer Earns Only Rs 1.50 Cr

New Delhi: 'Gumraah', starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, premiered in theatres on Friday. The crime thriller, directed by Vardhan Ketkar, did not generate much excitement before its debut, so a weak start at the box office was to be expected. It's competing right now with major releases like Ajay Devgn's ‘Bholaa’ and Nani's pan-Indian film ‘Dasara’. It will be fascinating to watch whether 'Gumraah' can compete with these films. According to the report, the film only made Rs 1.50 crore on its first day in theatres.
Despite positive reviews, the film's opening day earnings were below expectations with only Rs 1.50 crore. Yet, over the weekends, more people are likely to visit theatres to watch ‘Gumraah’.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the movie and wrote, "#Gumraah puts up a lacklustre total on Day 1, despite holiday [#GoodFriday]… Fri ₹ 1.10 cr. #India biz."

Even though 'Gumraah' had little competition from other Bollywood movies on its first day of release, it hardly made any money.
ABPLive review of the movie reads, "Gumraah' closes with case summaries of such crimes wherein two identical twins were accused but acquitted for lack of evidence in several countries. A knowledge-imparting disclaimer which cites the source of inspiration for the film. In all, ‘Gumraah’ is a complete entertainer and a ‘paisa vasool’ film you could watch in theatres this weekend."
The suspense drama is allegedly based on real-life incidents. It is the Hindi adaptation of the 2019 Tamil movie 'Thadam' starring Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep.
