Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt To Shoot Tough Action Scenes For Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Film

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, known for her acting prowess, is all set to play the titular role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Last week, the ‘Kalank’ actress was reportedly rushed to the hospital due to exertion and exhaustion. She returned to the sets of the much-awaited film after taking some rest and regaining her strength. The ‘Gully Boy’ star is now gearing up to shoot action scenes for the project.

According to a report in SpotboyE, Alia Bhatt took a day off from the shoot to get herself treated as she will soon action scenes for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. There’s nothing to worry about Alia’s health as she is all fine and healthy. She decided to treat herself for exhaustion and dehydration as she is shooting for her projects non-stop in the last two months, the report said.

Alia Bhatt’s fans were worried after the news of her hospitalisation hit the internet. They flooded her Instagram handle with messages and expressed their concern over her health.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, will hit the silver screens in 2021. It was initially slated to release last year but it couldn’t due to the COVID-19 crisis. The movie also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.

On the professional front, Alia also has ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘RRR’ in her kitty. She will be seen sharing screen space with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra’. Her last film ‘Sadak 2’ premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar in August 2020. The movie co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur received scathing reviews from the critics and fans. 

Alia and Ranbir’s wedding became the talk of the town after the Kapoor lad revealed that they would have got hitched if the pandemic didn’t affect their lives. The two lovebirds celebrated New Year at Ranthambore with their family members. Pictures from their dreamy vacation created lot of buzz on social media.
