Gadar 2 Advance Bookings: Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel Movie Has Already Sold 30K Tickets
30,000 is the number of movie tickets sold on opening day.
New Delhi: Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer 'Gadar 2' will be releasing next week. As advance bookings for the film begin, 'Gadar 2' has been receiving a great response. Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' also stars the filmmaker's son Utkarsh Sharma. As per several media reports, the film has already sold more than 30,000 tickets. PVR has sold some 12,000 tickets and Cinepolis has sold some 9350 tickets.
30,000 is the number of movie tickets sold on opening day. Single screens have not been counted, a Bollywood Hungama report said.
Taran Adarsh said in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, "There are a lot of rumours doing the rounds that Sunny Dol’s role isn’t that important in the film and that Anil Sharma has focussed more on his son Utkarsh. I asked Anil Sharma about this, and I even asked Zee about this. They have said that these rumours are all false, that Sunny is there in the film from start to finish, and Gadar is Sunny Deol.”
'Gadar 2' will be releasing alongside 'OMG: Oh My God 2' at the box office. 'OMG 2' is the second installment of 'OMG' which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead. 'OMG' released in 2012 and was a huge box office hit. The film's sequel has been anticipated for quite some time.
'OMG 2' has been in the news for quite some time now. The film was in news for censorship and cuts in scenes.
Recently, talking about the big clash at the box office, Utkarsh Sharma told ETimes, "It's good that these two films are releasing together. Akshay sir ki film hai aur Akshay sir ke toh hum bhi fan hai. I'm so happy about the fact that their censor issue was going on and I've heard that their censor issue was going on and I'have heard it's now resolved. It should be celebrated. The way 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' came together and it was a celebration."
Both films will be releasing on August 11, 2023.
