'Fukrey 3' Shooting Begins: Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat & Richa Chadha's Comedy Film Goes On Floors

Movie buffs have not been able to control their excitement ever since the makers of ‘Fukrey’ announced the third installment of the comedy film. Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha and Varun Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi will reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Ali Fazal, who played the role of Zafar, took to social media to share a picture from the Mahurat and provide an update about the film’s shoot.

The ‘Mirzapur’ star posted the picture from the sets along with the caption, “FUKREY 3. Its On.” Several fans responded to his tweet and extended their warm wishes to the film’s shoot.

One user wrote, “It's going to be three times fun and crazy... All the best.”

'Fukrey 3', which went on floors on March 13, will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who helmed the first two installments of the franchise.

‘Fukrey’, which released in 2013, emerged as the sleeper hit of the year despite a poor opening. The film managed to strike a chord with the audience and perform well at the box office.

The producers announced a sequel titled ‘Fukrey Returns’ in 2016 on popular demand. The film, which hit the silver screens on December 8, 2017, received a good response from the audience.

Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha earned critical acclaim for their respective performance as Choocha and Bholi Punjaban. The other actors have also been praised for their acting in the much-loved films.

‘Fukrey 3’ will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their home banner Excel Entertainment. The makers are yet to announce a release date.
