New Delhi: 'Fateh', the directorial debut of actor-producer Sonu Sood, opened in theatres on January 10 and has received a plethora of mixed reviews online. Sonu Sood and Jacqueliene Fernandez play the lead roles in the movie, which centres on a former special operations officer who attempts to save a young victim of cybercrime by working with an ethical hacker. Social media users have shared their thoughts on the film, with some calling it a "blockbuster".

Calling Sonu Sood "India's John Wick," some fans have lauded the movie, while others have been disappointed.

"I'm so happy after watching #Fateh," one admirer tweeted. A user also described the film's first half as having a "Relevant Topic and Good Action," but noted that it "feels Derivative and Melodramatic."

About 'Fateh

Sonu Sood isn't the only major player in ‘Fateh’; Jacqueliene Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah are all included. Digvijay Singh Rathee, who became famous on Bigg Boss 18, is among the other notable actors in the film. 

Reportedly, real-life incidents served as inspiration for the film. The film is directed by Sonu Soon and produced by Sonali Sood and Umesh KR Bansal. Joining forces with Ankur Pajni, the actor has also contributed to the script.

At the box office, 'Fateh' will compete with 'Game Changer', starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani.
