For the uninitiated, the date was chosen for the pun on the popular catchphrase - ‘May the Force be with you’ as ‘May the Fourth be with you’. Although, the holiday was never declared by Lucasfilm, die-hard fans of the popular franchise celebrate it every year without fail.
