Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone To STAR Together In Atlee's 'Sanki'? Film Trends On Twitter

Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will team up again for director Atlee's upcoming film titled 'Sanki'.

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone made her grand Bollywood debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2017. The film co-starring Shreyas Talpade and Kirron Kher managed to set the box office on fire. The duo of SRK and Deepika re-created magic in ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’. Although, ‘Happy New Year’ received mixed reviews from the critics and audience, fans loved Shah Rukh and Deepika’s chemistry. If a recent report in a leading magazine is to be believed, then the two tinsel town celebs will work together once again in Atlee’s upcoming film. Yes, you read that right! Deepika Padukone has loved the story of the film (Sanki) and she is all set to re-unite with King Khan, the report in Filmfare said. The news of the two stars teaming up again spread like wildfire on the internet. Fans trended the hashtag #Sanki on Twitter to express their excitement. One user wrote, "If #Sanki is made in pure masala style like south movies. It will set the screen on fire . #Atlee is the king of mass scene."

Although, the makers are yet to confirm the development, some of the netizens didn't seem happy with the film's tentative title 'Sanki'. They slammed Deepika Padukone for agreeing to do the film when her foundation 'The Live Love Laugh Foundation' had condemned the title of Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Judgementall Hai Kya', which was earlier titled 'Mental Hai Kya'. (Source- Twitter) On the professional front, Deepika Padukone has two big upcoming projects in her kitty including Shakun Batra’s next and another film with Telugu star Prabhas. Deepika was snapped at the airport on Friday (September 11) before she headed to Goa. She will shoot for Shakun Batra’s film co-starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the coastal state. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ is rumoured to be part of YRF’s ‘Paltan’. An official announcement is yet to be made regarding the film.
