Crakk Box Office Collection Day 2: Vidyut Jammwal And Arjun Rampal-Starrer Face Tough Competition With Article 370

Crakk Box Office Collection Day 2: Vidyut Jammwal's action-packed thriller faced a dramatic decline on day 2.

New Delhi: The highly anticipated action thriller starring Vidyut Jammwal, Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, and Amy Jackson, directed by Aditya Datt, hit theaters on Friday to a mixed reception from audiences and critics alike. While it opened to a decent start, the film experienced a significant drop in ticket sales on its second day.

Titled ‘Crakk - Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa’, the film was released on February 23 and initially showed promise at the box office. However, unlike most releases that typically witness growth over the first weekend, ‘Crakk’ faced a downward trend. Despite the favourable Rs 99 ticket pricing offered on Cinema Lovers Day, which helped its Friday earnings, the film saw a sharp decline in numbers on Day 2.

Earning a mere Rs 2.15 crore on Saturday, almost half of its opening day collections, the film experienced a notable drop in footfall and a challenging trajectory at the box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figure of the movie and wrote, "#Crakk slips, sees cracks in its biz on Day 2 [Sat]… It was extremely important to score on Sat - especially after collecting a tidy sum on Fri [#CinemaLoversDay] - but the sharp decline is a concern… Fri 4.11 cr, Sat 2.15 cr. Total: ₹ 6.26 cr."

'Crakk' Vs 'Article 370'

Vidyut Jammwal’s film faces stiff competition with Yami Gautam’s political thriller 'Article 370'. While 'Crakk' struggled to meet expectations on its opening day, 'Article 370' garnered positive word of mouth, hinting at potential growth over the weekend. Early estimates suggest that 'Article 370' is poised to outperform 'Crakk' on Day 2.

As the weekend unfolds, the high-octane action of 'Crakk' will need to rally in order to secure respectable numbers, while 'Article 370' rides on favourable word of mouth to maintain its upward trajectory at the box office.
