Christopher Nolan’s Much- Awaited Thriller 'Tenet' Set To Release In India In November
Christopher Nolan Sci-fi film Tenet is finally going to release in India in November. Theatres have been allowed to reopen with 50 percent capacity.
New Delhi: Action thriller Sci-fi film Tenet directed by Christopher Nolan is set to release in India in November. Theaters were given the nod to be open from November 5th onwards after months of being in lockdown with 50% seating capacity and outside containment zones.
India will be one of the last countries to have an official theater release of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. The Sci-fi espionage thriller revolves around an unnamed CIA operative, known as The Protagonist, is recruited by a mysterious organization called Tenet to participate in a global assignment that unfolds beyond real-time. The mission: prevent Andrei Sator, a renegade Russian oligarch with precognition abilities, from starting World War III. The Protagonist will soon master the art of "time inversion" as a way of countering the threat that is to come according to IMDB.

The film which stars Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Dimple Kapadia and Elizabeth Debicki was initially released in Hungary in August. The film also had a brief shoot in Mumbai last year.
During an interview with Los Angeles Times, Nolan explained how the film was one of the “most ambitious” projects of his career. Despite the pandemic, Tenet has made almost $350 million and became the fourth highest-grossing films. Tenet has received rave reviews like The Times deeming it "a delightfully convoluted masterpiece." The Guardian called the film "madly preposterous" and "amazing cinema"
According to reports, it took Nolan five years to write the screenplay and after mulling over it for over a decade. Oscar award-winning director is famous for his distinctive films like The Prestige (2006), Interstellar (2014), Inception (2010) which are rooted in metaphysical, human nature, personal identity and the construction of time.
