Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 1: Kartik Aaryan’s Biographical Drama Collects Rs 5.4 Crore
Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 1: Kabir Khan's sports drama Chandu Champion is likely to be Kartik Aaryan's worst opening till now.
Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 1: The next film of Kartik Aaryan, ‘Chandu Champion’, has had mixed reviews but opened at Rs 5.4 Crore, the actor's lowest opening in over a decade. Since Kartik Aaryan's other films did better at the box office, this is a major setback for him. Kabir Khan directs the motivational sports biopic ‘Chandu Champion’, which is about Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold winner.
‘Chandu Champion’ has the lowest opening day results for a Kartik Aaryan film since 2015's ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, his breakthrough smash, according to early estimates from industry monitoring website Sacnilk.
Additionally, the opening weekend earnings are less than Kartik’s last theatrical movie, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, made on its opening day, which was Rs 8.25 crore. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, Kartik’s second film after the epidemic, got off to a somewhat better start, earning Rs 14.11 crore on its opening day and a total of Rs 265.5 crore worldwide.
On Friday, the makers of 'Chandu Champion' also announced a ticket deal for Rs 150. On the first day of its release, the film's total occupancy was 16.84%, with ticket prices set at Rs 150. Mumbai had a little greater occupancy rate of 19.25%. The occupancy rate for 870 shows in Delhi and NCR was 19.50%.

The lacklustre opening weekend of ‘Chandu Champion’ has shocked many of Kartik's fans.
‘Chandu Champion’ Vs ‘Munjya’
Despite its extensive marketing, ‘Chandu Champion’ is up against the surprise smash supernatural thriller Munjya, which has captured and held the attention of moviegoers. On its eighth day of release, the film grossed 3.35 crore. Day one earnings for ‘Munjya’ were 4 crore rupees, and that was with very little advertising and no big names. 'Munjya' is still doing strong in Week 2 at the box office.
