Welcoming the apex court’s verdict, Akshay was the first Bollywood celebrity to react so far. His tweet came shortly after the Supreme Court verdict on Wednesday.

As the Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media and hailed the order. 'Dabangg' actor Sonu Sood took to Twitter and said that he is "glad" with the Supreme Court's judgement. "Glad to know The Supreme Court directs CBI to probe Sushant Singh Rajput's case. #JusticeforSushantSingRajput," he tweeted.

Hoping that the truth prevails soon, actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra too lauded Supreme Court’s verdict of handing over the investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Parineeti Chopra termed the apex court's order as a "positive step" and urged people to stop speculating and let the CBI work investigate the matter. “ This is a positive step. Earlier, Bollywood actors including Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Kriti Sanon and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor among many others lauded the verdict by the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Rajput's death, who was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai's Bandra on June 14.
