New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau questioned Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh in connection with the probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus, which stemmed from actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Rakul, who arrived at the NCB office at around 10:30 am, denied consuming or procuring any drug during the investigation. The ‘Marjaavaan’ actress received summons from the drugs law enforcement agency after her name came to the fore during the probe and questioning of Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in Sushant’s death case.

The NCB officials questioned the ‘De De Pyaar De’ actress for 4 hours during which she denied having any contact with the drugs peddlers. Although, she claimed that she didn’t consume any narcotics substance in her life, Rakul confessed about her drugs chat with Rhea Chakraborty in 2018 during the interrogation. If needed, the agency will call her again for questioning.



The NCB officials also grilled Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad and Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash as part of their investigation into the alleged Bollywood drugs case.

On Thursday, the NCB quizzed Sushant Singh Rajput's former manager Shruti Modi and fashion designer Simone Khambatta. Rakul was originally supposed to join the investigation on September 24; however, she appear before he agency on Friday.

Three leading Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will appear before the NCB on Saturday (September 26). The tinsel town divas were summoned by the NCB after their names surfaced in the WhatsApp chats accessed by the agency. Deepika and Sara arrived in Mumbai from Goa on September 24 ahead of the NCB probe.

Deepika's name emerged in the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus case after her WhatsApp chats with manager Karishma Prakash were accessed by the NCB. In the chats, the 'Piku' actress allegedly asked for 'hash' and 'maal' from Karishma. The chats date back to 2017. According to a NCB source, Deepika Padukone was the admin of WhatsApp group in which she allegedly asked for drugs.
