Bollywood Drugs Case: Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor To Appear Before NCB Today

New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau has launched a massive crackdown against the use of banned drugs in Bollywood while investigating the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. Earlier, the names of Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Simone Khambatta, Shraddha Kapoor emerged in the case but the probe took a sensational turn when the name of Deepika Padukone emerged in one of the drug chats. On September 25, the agency questioned Rakul Preet Singh in connection with the probe into the alleged Bollywood drug nexus. She claimed that Deepika never consumed drugs in her life. Reportedly, she will be confronted by the ‘Cocktail’ actress today. The federal agency has called Prakash again for interrogation tomorrow. In the latest development, Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor will appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau today. On Wednesday, the agency summoned all three of them and have asked them to appear before them on September 26. So far, the agency has questioned Rhea, Showik, Shruti Modi, Sushant's talent manager Jaya Saha, Kwan talent management agency CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, 'Udta Punjab' Producer Madhu Mantena Varma, Rakul Preet Singh. Karishma Prakash among several others. The NCB has already arrested Rhea, Showik, Miranda, Sushant Singh Rajput’s personal staff Dipesh Sawant, and 16 others in the case so far. Rhea, Showik, Miranda, and Sawant were in judicial custody. The official said while the alleged chats of Deepika with her manager Prakash discussing drugs in October 2017 brought them into the probe net, Shradhha and Sara's role came to the fore following the questioning of Saha. The Narcotics Control Bureau is the third central agency to investigate the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was allegedly found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020.
