Mumbai: It is turning out to be a blockbuster Friday as two major films have released on different platforms. While Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Thalaivii’ has arrived in the cinema halls, ‘Bhoot Police’ has premiered directly on Disney+Hotstar. The horror comedy starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez was initially slated to release on September 17; however, the makers decided to bring it a week earlier on Ganesh Chaturthi 2021.
‘Bhoot Police’, which has been directed by Pavan Kirpalani, has received a mixed response from the audience upon its release on the OTT platform. While several fans have expressed disappointed over the ‘poor storyline’, others have called the film a ‘one-time watch’.
One user tweeted, "Watched #BhootPoliceReview on #hotstar . It was a laughter ride in bits and parts. Not a wholesome movie although but one time watch."
Another user tweeted, "Ghostbusters meats Supernaturals meats (insert desi generic horror flick), @arjunk26 & Saif, both had fun in this one. No-one takes themselves seriously, not even the ghosts. Fun weekend watch though."
