‘Bala’ Box-Office Day 3: Ayushmann Khurrana's Film Sees Excellent First Weekend!

Here's how much Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Bala' has minted on the third day of its release.

Ayushmann Khurrana's latest release 'Bala', which received a fantastic response from the audience on the first day of its release, has registered strong growth at the box office in its opening weekend. The film, also featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles, started on a flying note by collecting Rs 10.15 crore and has managed to rake in Rs 43.95 crores over the weekend. 'Bala' has minted Rs. 18.07 crores on Sunday and the film is expected to set the cash registers ringing in weekdays as well. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Bala’s third day box office collection on Twitter. He wrote, "#Bala is rocking... Packs a fantastic total in its opening weekend... Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities - which were decent/good - join the party on Day 3... Mon biz crucial, will give an idea of its lifetime biz... Fri 10.15 cr, Sat 15.73 cr, Sun 18.07 cr. Total: ₹ 43.95 cr. #India biz." Take a look at his post below: On a related note, 'Bala' co-starring Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla and Seema Pahwa was mired in controversy after the makers of 'Ujda Chaman accused the producers of the film of copyright infringement as both the movies have have protagonists who are young men suffering from premature balding. 'Ujda Chaman' makers even dragged Bala's producer Dinesh Vijan to court but later they withdrew the case. 'Bala' has turned out to be the seventh consecutive success of Ayushmann Khurrana after 'Bareilly Ki Varfi', 'Shubh Mangal Savdhaan', 'AndhaDhun', 'Badhaai Ho', 'Article 15' and ;Dream Girl'. Now, it'll be interesting to see if 'Balal' will cross the 100 crore mark at the box-office or not. Stay tuned for more updates!
