Bala Box Office Report: Ayushmann Khurrana's Film STRIKES Gold On First Day

Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam's 'Bala' has raked in big moolah on the first day.

New Delhi: Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Bala', which released on November 8, has taken a flying start at the box office. The comedy drama received praises from the critics and fans and it is reflecting in the film's first day collection. After delivering a hit in the form of 'Dream Girl', Ayushmann Khurrana is now all set to conquer the box office once again with 'Bala'. The strong word-of-the-mouth publicity and good reviews have helped the film in raking in big moolah on the first day. The Amar Kaushik directorial has collected Rs 10.15 crore on the very first day and trade pundits are expecting the film to continue the good show on weekends. Fri ₹ 10.15 cr. #India biz,'' he wrote on the  micro-blogging site. Ayushmann's previous release 'Dream Girl' co-starring Nushrat Bharucha, had minted Rs 10.05 crore on the first day. 'Bala' has become the highest opener of Khurrana's career. 'Bala' co-starring Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla and Seema Pahwa was mired in controversy after the makers of 'Ujda Chaman accused the producers of the film of copyright infringement as both the movies have similar concept.  The makers of Sunny Singh starrer dragged Bala's producer Dinesh Vijan to court but later they withdrew the case.
