The ‘Kai Po Che!’ director is now all set to join hands with the poster boy of content cinema in Bollywood, Ayushmann Khurrana. Abhishek has also signed Vaani Kapoor as the ‘Bala’ actor’s love interest in this progressive love story. Vaani Kapoor made her acting debut with the movie ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ starring alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. While talking about the film, the filmmaker revealed how excited he is work with both of them. He said, “I thought Vaani was fabulous in Befikre. She’s beautiful and a very committed actor. I am looking forward to having her and Ayushmann on set. I believe their combo will be electrifying.” In this total entertainer, as mentioned by the director himself, Ayushmann will be seen portraying the character of a Cross-Functional Athlete and will have to go through a big physical transformation. The actor said, “I’m supremely excited about the physical transformation that I will have to undergo. It will present me in an all-new avatar. I have never looked like this on-screen and I’m looking forward to seeing the reaction of audiences. The process is going to be intense and excruciating for me but I feel all the pain will be worth it.” When asked about the film, the ‘War’ star disclosed that she has always wanted to work with Abhishek Kapoor and it feels like an amazing opportunity for her to be a part of his vision.
