Kennedy First Look Out: Regal Sunny Leone, Intense Rahul Bhat In Anurag Kashyap Directorial

The first look of director Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’ was released on Friday. The film, starring Sunny Leone and Rahut Bhat, will be showcased at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival. 

New Delhi: The first look of director Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’ was released on Friday. The film, starring Sunny Leone and Rahut Bhat, will be showcased under the Midnight Screenings section of the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival. 

Zee Studios released the first look with the caption, “Cannes it get any better! Presenting the first look of #Kennedy which will premiere at the 76th @Festival_Cannes as part of the Official Selection in the Midnight Screenings section.”   

 

Sunny Leone looks like a wealthy woman in the first look, her looks give a retro and regal feel. Rahul Bhat looks intense and is seen aiming a gun at someone.  

Rahul has worked with Kashyap in ‘Ugly’ and ‘Dobaaraa.’ 

Sunny Leone also shared a video expressing her happiness on the film being screened at Cannes Film Festival. She wrote, ““I am beyond belief at this amazing moment. One of the proudest moments of my entire career. The ONLY Indian film to be representing India at the prestigious @festivaldecannes @anuragkashyap10 you are my light that has given me this chance to audition for this part. I will forever be your “Charlie” thank you to the moon and back. @itsrahulbhat you are our Kennedy and the one who is going to keep the world on edge with your performance…! ‘Cann kholke sunlo’ I am super excited to announce my next film #Kennedy is in the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival! Anurag Kashyap has been a regular presence at the Cannes Film Festival. 

Previously, his multigenerational gangster cult classic ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ (2012) was screened at the 2012 Cannes Directors' Fortnight, an independent selection of the Cannes Film Festival. 

The anthology film ‘Bombay Talkies’, on which Kashyap served as one of the directors, premiered under Special Screenings at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. 

Kashyap's thriller ‘Ugly’ was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, receiving a standing ovation, which he followed up with neo-noir thriller ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ which debuted at 2016 Cannes Film Festival in the Director's Fortnight section. 

The 2023 edition of the Cannes Film Festival will run from May 16 through May 27.
