Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar remembered his late mother Aruna Bhatia by sharing an emotional post on social media. Aruna passed away on September 8 at Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital. Khiladi Kumar, who is currently busy shooting for Ram Setu, shared a video from the sets of the film on his Instagram handle. 

The 'PadMan' star, while sharing the video, said that he is missing his mother. He didn't utter a single word and looked visibly upset in the video. The song 'Namastsye Namo Namah' played in the background. He captioned the post, as “Yunhi aaj maa bohot yaad aa rahi hai.  I am missing my mom a lot.)” 

 Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages. The video has received over 5 million views within four hours. Check it out!

Akshay had penned an emotional post to express grief after his mother's demise. He wrote, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."

The 'Housefull' actor was shooting for his next film in the United Kingdom when he received the news about his mother's ill health. He immediately rushed to Mumbai to be with her. The National Award-winning artist had requested his followers to pray for his mother's well being.

Akshay Kumar To Play Archaeologist In Ram Setu

The 'Rustom' star, who will essay the character of an archaeologist, will share screen-space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in 'Ram Setu'. The film will hit the silver screens on October 24, 2022.

On the professional front, the 'Good Newwz' star is currently ruling the box office with 'Sooryavanshi'. The action drama co-starring Katrina Kaif has set the cash registers jingling, crossing the Rs 150-crore mark on its tenth day of release.
