New Delhi: Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb has been making waves ever since the motion poster of the film was unveiled last month. The makers have finally released the much-awaited film's trailer on Friday (October 9). As expected, the trailer has managed to create anticipation among the fans. Movie buffs were quite excited to see Akshay Kumar in the role of a new avatar. From wearing bangles to draping a saree, Khiladi Kumar did it all in the film's trailer. The combo of horror and comedy has not been explored much in Bollywood and hence, all eyes are on 'Laxmmi Bomb'. The trailer has already received over 5 million views on the YouTube handle of Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Meme makers had a field day as they shared several memes, which will definitely leave you in splits.

Bollywood celebs including Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Vaani Kapoor gave thumbs up to the film's trailer. Kriti, who worked with Akshay in 'Housefull 4', said that the she loved the scenes featuring the 'PadMan' actor in a saree. The 'Mimi' actress also wished the entire team best of luck. Filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted, "What a kickass trailer @akshaykumar !!!!! Congratulations to the team for this cracker of a trailer that’s going to storm the streaming this Diwali!"

Varun Dhawan, who will be next seen in 'Coolie No. 1', quoted lyrics from Akshay Kumar's song and wrote, "Hum hain seedha saadha Akshay Akshay. This Diwali Enjoy #laxmibomb guys with Akshay sir and Kiara ma’am. Loved it"

The makers of 'Laxmmi Bomb' have decided to hide the 'like' and 'dislike' the numbers on YouTube. For the uninitiated, the trailer and teaser of 'Sadak 2' and 'Khaali Peeli' respectively faced the wrath of the general public upon release. The trailer of Alia Bhatt's 'Sadak 2' and teaser of Ananya Panday & Ishaan Khatter starrer 'Khaali Peeli' feature in the list of most disliked videos on YouTube. Several users even trended #BoycottLaxmmiBomb on Twitter and requested others to dislike the film's trailer even when the option to see the numbers have been disabled.

'Laxmmi Bomb' will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on November 9, a day before the finals of IPL 2020. The movie also stars Ayesha Raza Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles. The Raghava Lawrence directorial is the Hindi remake of Tamil hit 'Muni: Kanchana 2'.
