Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ To Clash With Varun Dhawan’s ‘Coolie No 1’?

New Delhi: Even during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no stopping for Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Apart from his upcoming new releases, he will also be featuring in a special episode of Discovery’s adventure show ‘Into The Wild With Bear Grylls’. One of his most anticipated releases this year of Khiladi Kumar is ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ which was supposed to hit the screens on May 2020 but had to take a step back as the coronavirus pandemic broke out. Reportedly, the movie is all set for a digital release on Diwali 2020. Earlier, it was brought to light that the whole team of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ have made up their minds for an OTT release. Now, based on reports by a leading entertainment portal, the tentative date of the release has also been locked which will clash with Jacky Bhagnani’s production venture ‘Coolie No 1’ starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. PinkVilla quoted a source saying, “Laxmmi Bomb is going to be premiered online on Diwali 2020. As of now, the date that has been decided tentatively is November 13, 2020. A little bit of post-production work is remaining which also includes some patchwork. So once Akshay Kumar returns from London after Bell Bottom shoot, the team of Laxmmi Bomb will wrap those portions. Meanwhile, the film is already on the edit table and readied to meet the deadline.” Though there has been no official announcement on the same, the source said that it is going to be ‘Akki Vs VD’ this Diwali. “Jackky Bhagnani's production venture has also been locked for a Diwali release. David Dhawan's Coolie No 1 remake starring Varun and Sara Ali Khan will be premiered on Amazon Prime, who want their movie also to release on the festive occasion. This will also be the lead pair's first film to have a direct-to-OTT release. So this Diwali, it's going to be Akki vs VD for sure”, added the source.

Meanwhile, the ‘Housefull’ actor is currently busy shooting for his film ‘Bell Bottom’ in the UK with the entire cast and crew of the movie. Watch this space for the latest updates.
