Adipurush Advance Booking: Prabhas, Kriti Sanon Starrer Sells Over 80,000 Tickets; OTT Rights Sold For Rs 250 crore

Film trade experts state that the movie has already made a lot of money from distribution rights.

New Delhi: 'Adipurush', a mythical drama starring Telugu actor Prabhas, is one of the most expensive films ever produced in India. Prior to its global release on June 16, the movie is getting all the needed attention. The budget for this film is reportedly beyond Rs 500 crore.

Film trade experts state that the movie has already made a lot of money from distribution rights. People Media Factory paid approximately Rs. 150 core for the distribution rights to the film in the two Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The distribution rights for Adipurush across the Hindi Belt and the rest of South India were reportedly sold for Rs 120 crore, claims film tracker Ramesh Bala. The film's distribution rights have brought in a total of Rs 270 crore in revenue. More than 80,000 tickets were sold in total.

According to Miss Malini, the OTT and satellite rights to the movie were sold for a staggering sum of Rs 250 crore. The movie will reportedly be available on OTT platform 50 days after it hit theatres due to Amazon Prime, which has acquired the digital and satellite rights to it. According to insiders, the movie still needs between Rs 30 and Rs 50 crore to break even after including the satellite and OTT rights. The movie is anticipated to be successful a few days after it premieres owing to the quick pre-booking of the tickets.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is set to follow Ranbir Kapoor's lead and buy 10,000 'Adipurush' tickets. The 'RRR' actor will purchase and give away 10,000 tickets to less fortunate kids, just like Ranbir.

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon will be starring in 'Adipurush', one of the most anticipated films of 2023. Prabhas will play Raghav and Kriti Sanon will play Janaki in the movie, which is a rendition of the Ramayana.
