65th National Awards: 'Newton' is the 'Best Hindi film'; Pankaj Tripathi gets 'Special Mention'!
The winners of the 65th National Film Awards are being announced at PIB Conference Room, Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi by Shekhar Kapur. Talking about Bollywood films, Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Newton' has won two big awards till now.
While 'Newton' has been declared as the 'Best Hindi Film', actor Pankaj Tripathi has got a 'special mention' award for his performance in the same film.
Speaking about the film, 'Newton' is a political black-comedy that revolves around a clerk placed on election duty in a conflict-ridden area of Chhattisgarh.
Directed by Amit V Masurkar, 'Newton' released in September last year & went on to be a criticial as well as commercial success.
