'Mission Raniganj' Box Office Collection Day 6- Akshay Kumar’s Film Takes A Dip, Manages To Earn 1.30 Crore

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie has garnered a total of Rs 16.9 crore in its six days in theaters, with the sixth day seeing earnings of Rs 1.30 crore in the domestic market.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Mission Raniganj' does not seem to be doing as well as expected. Despite getting good reviews, the film did not make it to the Rs 20 crore mark. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie has garnered a total of Rs 16.9 crore in its six days in theaters, with the sixth day seeing earnings of Rs 1.30 crore in the domestic market.

Talking about the dip in the Box Office, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh told ABP Live, "This film has not done well in the Box Office from the start despite being one of the finest performances of Akshay Kumar. I think it's one of his best films till date. But, despite all this the film hasn't done well at all in the box office. It is a very strong film but Box Office is a different game altogether. I can't really say why has this not perfomed well in the Box Office, but one reason can be a lack of awareness among the audience."

Mission Raniganj commenced its box office journey with an initial collection of Rs 2.8 crore. It witnessed a boost on its third day, a Sunday, where it managed to earn Rs 5 crore. However, subsequent to that peak, the film's earnings have been consistently dwindling.

Akshay recently spoke about his film ‘Mission Raniganj’ which did not work well in the threaters. In an earlier chat with Times Now Navbharat, Akshay addressed the film’s failure and said, "It is not a commercial film. It has not earned as much as it should have earned. But I have come here knowing that the film has not done well, to own the film and say that this is one of my best films."

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor, 'Mission Raniganj' was released almost two months following Akshay's previous release, 'OMG 2', which unexpectedly performed quite well in theaters.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film cast stars Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra along with many others. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in ‘Singham 3', which is set to be released next year in 2024.
