'Kangana Ranaut Is Not Interested In Politics,' Says Union Minister Ramdas Athawale After Meeting Her

After meeting the actress Athawale told the media that Kangana has said that she is not interested in politics but is interested in ensuring unity in society.

Kangana Ranaut Vs Shiv Sena: Union minister Ramdas Athawale on Thursday evening paid a visit to Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut a day after she reached Mumbai amid her spat with the ruling Shiv Sena., Athawale who met the actress at her residence in Khar said that the actress has expressed unwillingness to join politics. A day before, Athawale had stated that BJP or RPI would gladly welcome Kangana if she wills to take a political plunge. After meeting the actress Athawale told the media that Kangana has said that she is not interested in politics but is interested in ensuring unity in society. Also Read: Loss Of Rs 2 Cr Suffered By Kangana, Will Ensure Damages Are Recovered: Actress’ Lawyer Tells ABP News “She said that she is not interested in politics and as long as she is working in films, she has no intention of joining politics but if she joins BJP or RPI, we'll welcome her,”  Athawale reiterated after meeting her. “She said that in her upcoming film she is playing the role of a Dalit and that caste system should be abolished,” Athawale said. Athawale's party RPI (A) is an ally of the BJP in the Centre and in Maharashtra. They escorted her to her residence as well. Previously when Kanagna’s “PoK” remark had created a controversy, Athawale came forward in her defence and said "she did not criticise the Mumbai city but the state government. It's against the democratic principles to oppose her right to live here on the grounds of her critical remarks against the government.” The Union minister also claimed that Ranaut had thanked him for offering her protection in Mumbai. He also critcised Sanjay Raut’s statement against her and said "Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut shouldn't have threatened the actress over her right to live in Mumbai.” Also Check:
