Emmy Nominations 2024: The historical drama 'Shogun,' depicting the power struggles in feudal Japan, leads this year's Emmy Awards nominations with 25 nods. The first season of the FX series will compete for best drama, facing off against the final season of Netflix's 'The Crown,' Apple TV's 'The Morning Show,' and others.
Another FX show, the intense restaurant drama 'The Bear,' earned 23 nominations, setting a record for a comedy. Its second season, which follows the transformation of a Chicago sandwich shop into a world-class dining destination, is once again up for best comedy, a title it won at the last Emmys.
The Emmy winners, the highest honors in television, will be announced at a red-carpet ceremony broadcast live on ABC on September 15. The honorees are chosen by nearly 22,000 members of the Television Academy.
The last Emmys were held in January, delayed by strikes by Hollywood writers and actors.
