Comedian Trevor Noah Show Cancelled In Bengaluru; Fans Say 'Trevor Has Been Bangalored, Joke Is On Silicon Valley'

US comedian Trevor Noah canceled both his shows in Bengaluru due to a technical glitch. Noah was supposed to perform at Manpho Convention Centre in Manyata Tech Park on September 27, and September 28

New Delhi: US comedian Trevor Noah canceled both his shows in Bengaluru due to a technical glitch. Noah was supposed to perform at Manpho Convention Centre in Manyata Tech Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, and Thursday, September 28.

On Wednesday, however, the comedian came on stage and realized the audience could not hear him, after which he canceled the show.

Trevor Noah took to Twitter to address an unfortunate issue with the sound system that couldn’t be resolved.

He wrote "Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows."

"We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment this has never happened to us before."

Noah was late for the show due to the traffic, also the audience reached late at the venue because of the same.

After the audience reached and entered the venue, there were some audio issues due to which Noah had to leave the stage, making it a disappointing night for everyone.

The fans got very disappointed due to the traffic, some of the fans took to X and wrote,''Trevor has been Bangalored, not in a nice way though! The joke is on Silicon City.''

Another commented, ''Had got front row seats for this amazing show because I kinda knew the venue was bad and nothing would be audible at the back. My friends are traveling from another part of the country to see this!! This is really sad.'' A third joked, ''Bengaluru wanted to experience Trevor Noah, but Trevor Noah ended up experiencing Bengaluru.''

Noah was very excited about his tour in India, in one of the interviews with ANI he said "After a lifetime of loving India's culture, I'm so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!"

The programme was scheduled to be held in the Manpho Convention Centre near Hebbal flyover. According to BookMyShow, the tickets for the show were Rs 2,000 onwards.

Both Trevor Noah and show organisers BookMyShow have said that customers will receive a full refund for their tickets. That is little consolation to many fans who were looking forward to the comedian’s show.
