Dilip Kumar Health Update: Veteran Actor Is 'Stable' & 'Should Be Home In 2-3 Days'
Dilip Kumar Health Update: The actor has been put on oxygen support after he complained of breathlessness.
The condition of Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Sunday morning, is stable.
A post on his official Twitter page stated the veteran actor should be home in two to three days.
"Don't believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh'Allah," says a tweet, on @TheDilipKumar.
The actor has been put on oxygen support after he complained of breathlessness.
An earlier tweet on his official Twitter handle on Sunday had stated: "Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine t ests and investigations. He's had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please k eep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe."
According to a report of ANI, “Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and kept on oxygen support in ICU ward. His condition is stable: Dr Jalil Parkar, the pulmonologist treating the actor at Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospital”.
The 98-year-old actor was hospitalised last month as well. However, he was d ischarged after two days.
Last year, the screen icon lost his two younger brothers — Aslam Khan (88) and Ehsan Khan (90) — due to COVID-19. Kumar, who made his debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, has appeared in several iconic films in his career spanning over five decades, including Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, Ram Aur Shyam, among others. He was last seen on the big screen in Qila in 1998.
