Trisha Writes 'To Err Is Human, To Forgive Is Divine' Responding To Mansoor Ali Khan's Cryptic Apology

Mansoor appeared to buckle under the strain and issued an apology to Trisha for the misogynistic remarks he made about her a few days ago.

New Delhi: The conflict between Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan has been hitting headlines lately. Mansoor appeared to buckle under the strain and issued an apology to Trisha for the misogynistic remarks he made about her a few days ago, following a great deal of back and forth on social media, press conferences, and other venues. Trisha responded to Mansoor on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, seeming to forgive him for his remarks.

Additionally, it appeared that things had advanced with the legal action Chennai police took against Mansoor. "To err is human, to forgive is divine," Trisha wrote on X, omitting to mention Mansoor or the statement he had published earlier that day.

Based on her comments section, people didn't seem to be in the mood to forgive her, even though she seemed to want to move past the whole affair with the message. One fan wrote, “He apologised only after so many people condemned his words and case registered. His apology is out of fear over going to jail. I bet. He will do this again after some time,” while another chipped in, “Stay strong trish we are all always with you.”

Mansoor refused to apologise to Trisha at all and stuck to his guns from the beginning. He even stated during a press conference, "A rape scene on-screen does not translate to abuse in real life. Since I didn't do anything wrong, I won't apologise."

However, he releases a statement on Friday seeking apology from the actress after the National Commission for Women took suo moto cognizance on the matter and the Chennai police counselled him. The statement reads as, "My co-actress Trisha, Please forgive me! May God bless me with the fortune of blessing your Mangalyam (mangalsutra) as it goes around on a coconut during the ritual! Amen. ---Mansoor Ali Khan.”

Mansoor made some offensive remarks to the media about wanting to film exploitative sequences with Trisha while they were promoting their movie Leo. Actors from the South Industries and Leo's team denounced his remarks.
