THIS Is What Triptii Dimri Charged For Spirit After Deepika Padukone’s Exit Over High Fee

Triptii Dimri has officially joined Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ replacing Deepika Padukone. Here’s why the change happened and what it means for both stars.

Triptii Dimri has officially stepped into the spotlight, replacing Deepika Padukone in the much-anticipated Sandeep Reddy Vanga film Spirit, starring Prabhas. The announcement has not only stirred excitement among fans but also ignited curiosity about Triptii’s remuneration and Deepika’s unexpected exit.

On Sunday, both Vanga and Triptii confirmed the casting, putting to rest the swirling rumors. Triptii had already hinted at the development a day earlier by sharing the film’s title poster along with a heartfelt note:“Still sinking in… 😍 So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Deepika Padukone’s Exit: Creative Clash or Schedule Conflict?

Deepika Padukone’s departure from Spirit was reportedly due to creative disagreements with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. According to industry buzz, the Padmaavat actress had demanded ₹20 crore as remuneration and requested shorter working hours—a condition tied to her recent transition into motherhood. However, these terms reportedly clashed with Vanga’s intensive filming style and narrative vision.

Triptii Dimri’s Fee in ‘Spirit’ Revealed

According to a Telugu360 report, Triptii is being paid approximately ₹4 crore for her role—significantly lower than Deepika’s alleged demand. While financial specifics remain unconfirmed, Triptii’s strong rapport with Vanga, stemming from their collaboration on Animal, is believed to have played a pivotal role in the casting decision.

Vanga’s Sharp Response on X

Following the official confirmation of the casting change, Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a cryptic yet scathing message, seemingly directed at Deepika Padukone.

"When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith... You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are... Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?”

He also added, “Filmmaking is everything to me. Stop playing dirty PR games.”

Although he didn’t mention names, the timing and tone of the message made the target clear to fans and industry insiders.

A Major Leap in Triptii Dimri’s Career

Triptii’s casting in Spirit marks a significant turning point in her rising career. After winning hearts in Animal, she shot to nationwide fame, even being dubbed the new “National Crush” of India alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Her fresh pairing with Prabhas has already sparked major excitement among fans.

What’s Next for Deepika Padukone?

While Spirit may no longer be on her schedule, Deepika Padukone is reportedly in talks for several massive projects, including Allu Arjun’s film with Atlee, a potential return in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, and Shah Rukh Khan’s next film King.
