Adah Sharma Says It Took Her '2 Years To Register' That Her Dad Is No More
Adah Sharma says that she was too shocked to mourn when her father passed away.
‘The Kerala Story’ actress Adah Sharma opens up about the impact of losing her dad. In a recent podcast, she shared her complexities with grief. According to Adah, when her dad passed away, she didn’t cry because she was shocked.
Adah Sharma recalled the sudden death of her dad. She spoke in a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, “I was in Hyderabad, we were shooting a film and my schedule changed. There was four days leave. When I came home, I remembered I went home and I slept late. I only remember my mom hitting the door and she said come fast and I ran to Dad holding a newspaper. He was fine, and his health reports were great. He used to show off to everybody that I was so strong, my reports were like a 30-year-old. He used to run on the treadmill and his heart rate used to be perfect.”
She continued, “I thought he was joking because he used to over-act purposefully to irritate me sometimes that he used to sit like a statue. I remember we called up the family doctor. He came very fast but those four minutes for me felt like 40 years. He checked and said ‘Sorry, he is no more’. I was like check properly what is happening. That time, I was just so shocked that no tears came.”
Adah Sharma on Registering Dad's Death
She added, “I was just blank I don't remember anything but I remember I didn't cry like for that I don't think I ever cried thinking Papa. It took two years to register that Papa is not more.”
Adah Sharma also shared that his dad used to watch news debates all the time. She said, “My dad used to watch news channels a lot and in my house, there is no TV right now.”
Adah was last seen in 'Bastar: The Naxal Story'. She said that his father would have liked a film like Bastar.
