Kajol Shares Her Experience Working With Saif Ali Khan's Son Ibrahim Ali Khan In 'Sarzameen'

Kajol discussed her time spent filming 'Sarzameen' with Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan. The film is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

New Delhi: The much-anticipated film ‘Sarzameen’ is just one of several planned projects for Bollywood actress Kajol, who just turned 50. Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan—the son of Saif Ali Khan—will all be featured in the film directed by Kayoze Irani. Variety recently interviewed Kajol where she spoke about her time on set with her co-stars.

Speaking about Ibrahim Ali Khan, Kajol said, “I’ve worked with Prithviraj Sukumaran for the first time and he’s absolutely wonderful to work with and so was Ibrahim, so I think it’s going to be quite interesting to see both of them on screen.”

The film, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, is a mystery thriller that delves into the complexities of love and relationships.

Rumour has it that ‘Sarzameen’ is an adaptation of the romance comedy Hridayam from Malayalam. In May 2022, Bollywood Hungama reported a source that said, “Sarzameen is not that kind of a film. Ibrahim was sure he did not want a conventional debut. This is a very unusual debut, and Ibrahim is thoroughly ready for the challenge.”

Karan Johar's cryptic social media message earlier this year sparked excitement about the plot and cast members of his next film. The filmmaker stressed in the statement that it was not a "movie announcement," which left internet users wondering. Given the clues regarding the celebrity cast, fans immediately assumed it was about ‘Sarzameen’.

Kajol’s Upcoming Film

Along with ‘Sarzameen’, Kajol will appear opposite Prabhu Deva in the thrilling action flick ‘Maharagni: Queen of Queens’. After working together in Rajiv Menon's Minsaara Kanavu (1997) about thirty years ago, they are reunited in this film. Cast members include Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Aditya Seal, Jisshu Sengupta, and CharanTej Uppalapati, the film's director. Along with that, she is working on Netflix’s ‘Do Patti’ with Kriti Sanon.
