Ishaan’s birthday, which falls on November 1, was celebrated on Diwali night, October 31, with the family dressed in traditional Indian attire, marking both occasions together. Captioning the photo, he wrote, “Birthday on Diwali means 3 cakes (two made by my amazing 8 yo niece and a goofy bhabhi).”

Ishaan, son of actors Rajesh Khattar and Neelima Azeem, first appeared on screen as a child in the 2005 film 'Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!', which starred his half-brother, Shahid Kapoor. His debut as a lead actor came in Majid Majidi’s 2017 drama 'Beyond the Clouds'. Ishaan’s next film, 'Dhadak' (2018), directed by Shashank Khaitan, was a remake of the Marathi hit 'Sairat' and featured Janhvi Kapoor in her debut role, alongside actors Ashutosh Rana and others in pivotal roles.
He went on to star in films like 'Khaali Peeli', 'Phone Bhoot', and the recent biographical war film 'Pippa', inspired by the story of Captain Balram Singh Mehta of India’s 45 Cavalry regiment.
