Director Atlee And Varun Dhawan Spill The Beans On Salman Khan's Hilarious Cameo In 'Baby John'
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan brought his signature humour to the set of Baby John, according to director Atlee and actor Varun Dhawan.
New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan just filmed a cameo for the forthcoming film ‘Baby John’, and he brought his usual charisma and humour to the set. The film’s lead star Varun Dhawan and director Atlee recently discussed behind the scenes of the superstar’s much-awaited appearance in the movie.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Atlee said that he and Murad Khetani, who is also a co-producer on Baby John, had considered asking Salman Khan to make a cameo appearance. It came as a shock to Murad and Atlee when Salman not only consented to be in the film but also requested to begin shooting sooner rather than later.
The 'Jawan' director shared, “It was just an initial discussion between me and Murad (Khetani) sir. I told him, ‘Sir, towards the end, I need a cameo… should we ask Salman sir?’ He said, ‘okay’. Next day, he calls me in the morning, and says, ‘Salman has agreed to do a cameo.’ I was shocked. I was like, ‘I was just discussing with you, I don’t have any such scene prepared for it. Let me work on it.'”
Salman Khan's Punctuality and Sense of Humour
The actor showed up on location thirty minutes ahead of time on the day of the filming, demonstrating his impeccable punctuality. Atlee said, “I was 20 minutes late to the set because we called Salman Khan at 1:00; he came by 12:30, so I came at 1. I came on time, but he was 20 minutes before me, and he was sitting like a lion."
In keeping with the light-hearted tone, Salman couldn't help but poke fun at Atlee, according to Varun Dhawan, who co-starred with Salman in the cameo. Varun recalled Salman describing the director as "Bruce Lee Ka Bhai" (Bruce Lee's brother).
Fans are now anxiously anticipating what magic the superstar will bring to the big screen after Salman Khan's surprise cameo in ‘Baby John’.
