Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child on September 8. The star couple became parents to a baby girl and announced the happy news on social media with an Instagram post. 

As soon as the couple shared the news, congratulatory messages from celebs started pouring in. From Alia Bhatt to Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Rubina Dilaik and Shraddha Kapoor, among others, showered all their love on the new parents in town.

Ranveer and Deepika have shared an official statement on social media. In a joint post, they wrote, "Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024 Deepika and Ranveer."

Reacting to the much-awaited news, Alia Bhatt dropped a series of red heart emojis.

Actress Pooja Hegde commented, "Congratulationssssss ❤️🧿" while Rubina Dilaik wrote, "Blessings and love ❤️"

Several other celebs including Himesh Reshammiya, Kriti Sanon, Diana Penty also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the couple.

Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani wrote, "Congratulations and all the love in the world to all three of you!"

However, the best comment came from Raneer Singh's close friend and actor Arjun Kapoor, who congratulated the couple and wrote, "Laxmi aayi hai !!! ❤️

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Love Story

 

The couple first announced their pregnancy in February of this year, sharing a photo together with the caption "September 2024." The post featured adorable images of balloons, baby shoes, and outfits.

Deepika and Ranveer began dating in 2013 while filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela'. They kept their relationship private until they tied the knot. In 2018, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, surrounded by close friends and family.

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in 'Kalki AD 2898', alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is set to appear in Farhan Akhtar's highly anticipated crime film 'Don 3', co-starring Kiara Advani.
