‘Several Bollywood Personalities Have Verifiable Links To ISI & Pak Army,’ BJP Leader's Tweet Raises Eyebrows

BJP vice-president Baijayant Panda on Wednesday took note of the tweets glutting the social media and urged Bollywood celebs to renounce their links to Pakistanis & NRI’s with track record of fueling violence and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has asked India’s film industry ‘Bollywood’ to repudiate whatever links it has with ISI, Pakistan’s spy agency, reacting to viral social media pictures of few eminent personalities of B-town with anti-India activists abroad. "Came across shocking threads documenting personal & business links of some Bollywood personalities with certain Pakistanis & NRIs with undeniable track record encouraging violence in J&K, who have verifiable links to ISI & Pak army. I urge patriotic Bollywoodies to renounce them,” he said in his tweet. Though Panda abstained from naming any Bollywood celebrity, he urged 'patriotic Bollywoodies' to stop working with these people. What’s the controversy about? The controversy erupted after pictures of Bollywood’s superstar Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan with Kashmiri separatist Tony Ashai emerged on social media. It is pertinent to note that Tony Ashai who also goes by the name Aziz Ashai, has been instrumental in urging Kashmiri youth to fight against India.
