New Delhi: Ever since a Facebook post was uploaded online announcing Jubin Nautiyal's upcoming US concert, the hashtag #ArrestJubinNautiyal has been trending. According to reports, Jai Singh, who has ties to a banned Khalistani organisation, is behind the September 23 event in Houston, Texas. Moreover, it is said that Jai is a wanted criminal.

Jai Singh, who is suspected of being an evading criminal, is the one organising the singer's performance in Houston, which will take place in the United States. It is reported that Jai Singh has not been seen in public for the last three decades and is considered a wanted criminal at the Chandigarh Police Station on allegations of narcotics smuggling and movie piracy.
In addition, according to an article published in 2019 by The Quint, Jai Singh "was a part of the banned Khalistan group in Punjab, started providing logistical support to Khalistanis hailing from the Fermont gurdwara."
On Saturday, immediately upon the announcement of Jubin's Houston performance through social media, internet users began trolling him, and the hashtag "Arrest Jubin Nautiyal" became a top trend. Users on the Internet are concerned that Jubin's participation in the programme would give the nation a negative reputation.
