Archana Puran Singh Reacts To Her Memes With Navjot Singh Sidhu, Says ‘I Am Always Willing To Move On’

New Delhi: The Kapil Sharma Show's Archana Puran Singh became popular earlier this week after the politician Navjot Singh Sidhu’s defeat in Punjab Assembly elections. 

Internet users were inundated with memes and jokes on how Sidhu would return to regain his spot on Kapil's programme in the near future. She has now replied to the Navjot Singh Sidhu memes that have been circulated.

Netizens came up with the funniest memes, many of which implied that Archana is now worried about losing her position in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Archana Puran Singh became a Twitter trending topic at a period of heated political debate.

Archana replaced Sidhu as a judge on the show in 2017. After Sidhu's loss, many have joked that he'll return to the show. People on Twitter quipped that Archana's career is in jeopardy.

Talking to TOI, Archana Puran Singh reacted to the memes saying, "I am not affected by these memes because it is not something new. What I am surprised about is how a person who has quit and joined politics, is still being connected with what I'm doing on the show. I have never been involved in politics. I have a particular role in the show, which I am doing diligently, but somehow when there is something new happening to Sidhu, memes are made on me. Isn’t that strange."

She also added, "But people on social media are behaving as if I only have this job and no other work in life. If ever Sidhu decides to come back or the channel or producer of the show wants Sidhu back, I am always willing to move on and find some other project." 

The Aam Aadmi Party's Jeevanjot Kaur defeated Navjot Singh Sidhu of the Congress by 5129 votes in the Amritsar East seat. As a result of the high expectations placed on him, his failure has been particularly distressing.
