Alia Bhatt Responds To Kangana Ranaut's Objection On A Small Girl Copying Her Lines From 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'

A video of a little girl copying Alia's lines from the film recently went viral, prompting Kangana Ranaut to express her displeasure.

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt is preparing for the release of her forthcoming film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which is planned to enter theatres on February 25, 2022. The trailer for the film has garnered a lot of interest from spectators.

A video of a little girl copying Alia's lines from the film recently went viral, prompting Kangana Ranaut to express her displeasure. The actress attacked the video on Instagram, calling out the girl's parents for allowing their daughter to resemble a prostitute (Alia's role in the film) with a cigarette in her mouth.

Last week, the Queen actress turned to Instagram to voice her opinion. She wrote, “Should this child imitate a sex worker with a beedi in her mouth and mouth crude obscene dialogues? Look at her body language, is it ok to sexualise her at this age? There are hundreds of other children who are being used similarly.”

She went on to lash out at her parents, writing, “Government should take action against parents who are sexualising under age children for money to promote biopic of a famous prostitute and pimp who supplied girls to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and rose to power.”

Alia has finally spoken out in response to the video and Kangana's criticism. It was recorded in enthusiasm, according to the actress, and she did not find it offensive. In an interview with India.com, she stated, "I thought it was very cute. I am assuming that it’s not done without the supervision of an elder. If the elder, who’s hopefully, her mother or father or sister or a loved one, is okay with it, then I don’t think we should have any issues with it as people".
