New Delhi: Alia Bhatt was discharged from the HN Reliance Hospital, Girgaon on Thursday morning. The actress was spotted leaving the hospital with her baby daughter and was accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The couple became proud parents of a baby girl on November 6.
Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their first child. She posted a picture of a lion family cuddling together with the text written on it. The text read, "And in the best news of our lives, our baby is here..and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir."
Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan, and other members of the family were visiting Alia in the hospital since Sunday. Paparazzi gathered at the hospital asked Neetu about the baby girl. When asked what she wanted to say about the birth of her granddaughter, Neetu replied, “Why do you always ask me all this? What do I say? I am very happy.”
A photographer then asked who the baby girl resembles more--Alia or Ranbir. Neetu replied, “She is too small right now, just born today. So, hard to say right now but she is very cute.”
The actor also shared an update on Alia Bhatt’s health. “She is ekdum (totally) first class. Everything is fine,” she had told paparazzi.
Earlier Alia’s dad, Mahesh Bhatt had also talked to HT and shared his emotions on the good news. He was overcome with emotion. “It is overwhelming to taste the ceaseless flow of life. It was just yesterday when Alia was a little baby who I carried in my arms. Now, she is a mumma to a baby girl. Today, when my overwhelmed wife Soni called me from the hospital, she said, ‘Oh, she is born’. I cannot put into words the manner in which she communicated those few words. There was an ocean of emotion coursing through that voice,” he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Randhir Kapoor, the older brother of Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor, had also expressed his feelings and said that the entire family is missing Rishi Kapoor.
"It is a big day for all of us and my brother would have been really proud to become a grandfather again. I am sure his blessing are with the baby girl and the entire family," he told News18.
Ranbir and Alia tied the knot at an intimate ceremony at their residence on April 14 this year after being in a relationship for five years.
