Uttarakhand Result 2022: After Dhami's Loss In Khatima, Who Will Be Frontrunner For CM's Post?

Uttarakhand Election Results 2022: According to the data released in Uttarakhand till 7 pm, the BJP has won 34 seats and is leading in 13 seats.

New Delhi: As the Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a win in the Uttarakhand assembly elections on Thursday, Bhuvan Kapri of Congress surprised the political pundits by defeating Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Khatima assembly seat in Uttarakhand. In the last election, Bhuvan lost to Dhami by a margin of only 2700 votes. This time he won by 6951 votes.

Now in such a situation, the question arises that who will be the CM face of BJP in the state? Sources said that Dhan Singh Rawat, Satpal Maharaj and Trivendra Singh Rawat are in the race for CM in Uttarakhand. Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi is also in the fray.

Out of the total 70 seats in Uttarakhand, BJP is seen winning 47 seats. Any single party in the state needs 36 seats to form the government. Congress has won 13 seats and is leading in 6 seats. Senior Congress leader and considered in the race for the post of Chief Minister Harish Rawat had to face defeat from BJP candidate Mohan Singh Bisht from the Lalkuan seat.

Goa Election Results 2022: BJP just one seat away from absolute majority in Goa, will now form such a government

Mayawati's BSP has won one seat and is leading on one. Independent candidates are leading in two seats. In the history of Uttarakhand, which came into existence in the year 2000, no party has formed the government twice in a row, BJP and Congress have been coming to power alternately. Now BJP is going to script history.

Despite being the face of the Chief Minister, Dhami was given a tough fight by Congress. To cut the votes of the Congress, the AIMIM candidate had tried a lot to make a dent in the Muslim votes, but all efforts went in vain as almost all the Muslim votes went to the Congress.

In the VVIP Khatima assembly with a total of one lakh thirteen thousand votes, AAP's SS Kaler and BSP's Ramesh Rana kept an eye on 28 thousand votes of the Tharu tribe, but those votes were also seen to be won by Congress's Bhuvan. Kaler expected that he would get at least five thousand and BSP's Rana would also get five thousand votes, but Kaler got 749 votes and BSP's Ramesh Rana could get only 920 votes.
