PM Modi tears into SP-BSP alliance in Moradabad; says they teamed up due to fear of getting wiped out

PM Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad where he took several jibes on Opposition parties including Congress, SP and BSP.

Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad where he took several jibes on Opposition parties including Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). "What used to happen earlier? Terrorists used to come from Pakistan, attack us and Congress government used to cry before the world that we have been attacked. But this is a new India. When terrorists attacked Uri, brave soldiers of the country conducted surgical strike there,” PM Modi said. “When they committed the second mistake in Pulwama, we entered their home and conducted airstrike. Udhar walon ko bhi samajh mein aa gaya hai ki agar teesri galti hui to lene ke dene padd jaenge. (Those people now understand that if they commit third mistake, it would cost heavily),” PM Modi said further. Further hitting out at the SP-BSP alliance in the state, PM Modi said that there was trouble for their existence and that is why all abuses of the past were left behind. “They came up with a new slogan of mera bhi maaf tumahara bhi maaf warna dono ho jayenge saaf (mine pardoned yours pardoned or else we both will be wiped out),” the Prime Minister said adding that the people of UP will not pardon them. Taking a dig BSP supremo Mayawati's remark where she suggested that she was still in the fray to become the Prime Minister, Modi said that "people who are not contesting on 40 seats but dream of becoming Prime Minister." PM Modi further said that people of the state will vote out half parties such as SP and BSP and once again Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get majority here. “Today elephant is riding on cycle and their target is chowkidar,” he said. “Congress leaders say that Modi is chowkidar of the toilet, SP leaders say that Modi’s work is to guard the toilets, but these people will never understand the importance of toilets. These people have toilets with foreign tiles but ask those crores of women whom you forced to wait for sunset,” PM Modi said. Further speaking about the implementation of triple talaq, PM Modi said that I want to assure them that after winning the elections on May 23, Modi government will once again bring the hard triple talaq bill in the parliament.
