PM Modi To Visit Odisha On May 19
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha again on May 19 to further intensify the election campaigning of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state.
"PM Modi will reach Bhubaneswar at around 7 p.m. on May 19. He is likely to have an hour-long meeting with senior leaders over election-related and other issues at the state headquarters here in the evening.
"On May 20, he will first perform darshan of Lord Jagannath and later hold a roadshow at the Badadanda (Grand Street) of Puri. PM Modi will later leave for Angul where he is scheduled to address a public gathering. He will then address another election meeting at Cuttack before returning to Bhubaneswar," said Odisha unit BJP president Manmohan Samal on Friday.
Meanwhile, the SPG officials held discussions with the commissionerate police and other police personnel regarding security arrangements.
This is the third visit of PM Modi to Odisha for the election campaigning in the last 15 days.
Modi, Shah, Rajnath Singh To Campaign In Odisha Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are scheduled to address election meetings in Odisha in the next three days, news agency PTI reported citing a senior BJP leader on Saturday. The defence minister will address three meetings on Sunday at Rairakhol, Patna and Khurda, Odisha BJP vice-president Golak Mohapatra told PTI.
According to the report, Modi will reach Bhubaneswar at 7 pm on Sunday and hold an hour-long review meeting with the party workers at the state BJP office.
The PM is scheduled to hold a road show in Puri at 8 am after having a 'darshan' of Lord Jagannath at the 12th-century shrine on Monday. Then he will address two public meetings - one in Angul at 9.30 am and the other in Cuttack at 11.30 am.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Live: Union Minister Jitendra Singh Says Fifth Phase Polling To Reaffirm Lotus 'Blooming' In Bengal
The fifth phase polling on Monday will be a reaffirmation of the lotus "blooming" in West Bengal as the BJP is set to wrest the highest number of seats in the state, Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said.
Singh, who on Saturday returned to Delhi after campaigning in West Bengal, also asked voters to ensure they exercise their franchise.
Voting in seven Lok Sabha constituencies of West Bengal -- Bangaon, Barrackpur, Howrah, Uluberia, Sreerampur, Hooghly and Arambag -- will be held on May 20.
"The fifth phase of polling on Monday will reaffirm the lotus blooming in West Bengal as the BJP is set to wrest the most number of seats in the eastern state," he told PTI here on Sunday.
The lotus is the BJP's election symbol.
Singh, the Union Minister of State for Personnel, said, in the ongoing election process, in each of the four phases so far, among all the states and Union Territories, West Bengal has consistently recorded a comparatively higher voter turnout. (PTI Input)
Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Live: PM Modi Arrives In Odisha To Address Poll Rallies Tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday arrived here on a two-day visit to Odisha to campaign for BJP candidates in simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state.
After his arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, Modi went to Odisha BJP's headquarters where he was scheduled to hold a meeting with the party's state leaders and would stay the night at the Raj Bhavan.
As his cavalcade moved towards the party office, people, gathered on both sides of the road, cheered for the prime minister and waved cutouts of the BJP’s election symbol ‘lotus’.
As soon as Modi arrived at the party's state headquarters for the first time, he was given a ceremonial welcome by Odisha BJP leaders. (PTI Input)
