Gujarat Polls: Amit Shah, Nadda, Other Leaders To Descend On Tuesday As BJP Campaign Plans To Cover 93 Seats In One Go

New Delhi: As poll temperature intensifies in Gujarat ahead of the Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to hold a mega show of strength by covering 93 seats, undergoing polling in the second phase, in one go, reported news agency ANI. The mega rallies will be held a week after the saffron party put up a similar show of strength across 83 seats which will go to polls in the first phase.
The large-scale event by the party will include rallies anywhere between a crowd of 3,000 to 5,000 and up to 20,000, the report added.
Amongst the leader to participate in the event include BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers Purshottam Rupala, Mansukh Madaviya among others.
Elections to the 182-member Gujarat Assembly will take place in two phases on December 1 and 5 and the votes will be counted on December 10 along with Himachal Pradesh.
In the coming few days, all roads will lead to Gujarat where the saffron party which has been in power for over 27 years will be seeking its seventh term in office.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had been the longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, held three rallies in the state today while yesterday, held four public rallies at various places.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is currently leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra is also scheduled to address campaign rallies in the state. He last visited Gujarat on September 5 when he addressed a gathering of booth-level party workers in Ahmedabad.
In the 2017 Gujarat Assembly polls, the BJP was halted at 99 seats out of a total of 182 seats. The state has been a BJP stronghold for a long and the party has set its sights on returning to power for the seventh term.
