Gujarat Election Results: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari sings a song to celebrate BJP's massive gain in the state.

Gujarat Election Results 2022: The Bharatiya Janta Party has crossed the halfway mark in the counting trends with the saffron party leading on over 150 seats. Party workers have already begun the celebration in Gujarat and Delhi as well.

BJP MP and Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari described the victory in his own style with a song. While talking to ABP News, Tiwari mentioned how BJP has been blessed due to its service to the state. He said that this is the aura of PM Narendra Modi.

The state has already registered two winners and both are from the BJP. Rakesh Gunvantbhai Desai won from the Navsari seat while party's CM candidate Bhupendrabhai Patel won from the VIP seat of Ghatlodia.

The Congress party is leading on 20 seats which are way less than what it won in the 2017 polls. The grand-old party had won 77 seats in the last elections in the state. BJP is certainly gaining numbers in the state where it won 99 seats in the last assembly polls.

The BJP's best tally so far came in 2002, where it bagged 127 seats. The elections, conducted in the aftermath of the post-Godhra riots, saw Narendra Modi returning as the chief minister.

So far, Congress' tally of 149 in the 1985 Assembly election holds the record for the most number of seats won by a party in the state. No party has been able to cross the 130-seat mark since then.

The Gujarat Assembly polls were held in two phases on December 1 and December 5.
