Being seen as the semi-finals ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the elections to five states -- Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Mizoram -- have thrown mixed results for the two major parties -- BJP and Congress, as per ABP-CVoter exit polls. While Rajasthan is likely to stay true to its 'revolving door' trend and see a return of BJP to power, Congress may clinch Telangana and Madhya Pradesh, dashing the saffron party's hopes of a fourth consecutive win in the Hindi heartland state, according to ABP-CVoter exit poll prediction.

A neck-and-neck fight is predicted in Chhattisgarh, with Congress placed marginally ahead. In Mizoram, the newly formed Zoram People's Movement is likely to give the ruling Mizo National Front a run for its money.

Here are the ABP-CVoter Exit Poll results of all the five states:

Rajasthan Exit Poll Result 2023

According to ABP-CVoter exit poll, BJP, which has fielded as many as seven MPs in Rajasthan and banked on the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will get anywhere between 94 to 114 seats and garner a vote share of 44.7 per cent. The Congress is predicted to get 71 to 91 seats, but see a rise in vote share to 41.1 per cent from 39.3 per cent it received in the 2018 polls.

Voting for 199 out of the 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan was held on November 25 and counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voting in Karanpur assembly constituency was postponed due to the death of the Congress candidate.

Madhya Pradesh Exit Poll Result 2023

After its government fell in 2020 following a rebellion by Jyotiraditya Scindia despite a victory in the 2018 polls, Congress is once again set to win Madhya Pradesh and bag anywhere between 113 to 137 seats. The grand old party, which fought the polls under the leadership of former CM Kamal Nath, is likely to garner a vote share of 44.1 per cent.

On the other hand, BJP, which aiming for a fourth consecutive term in power, has been predicted to win 88-112 seats, with a 40.7 per cent vote share.

In the 2018 MP elections, BJP won just 109 seats, while the Congress bagged 114 seats in the 230-member assembly.

Chhattisgarh Exit Poll Result 2023

As per ABP-CVoter exit polls, Chhattisgarh is headed towards a photo finish, with Congress marginally ahead. Congress, which is banking on the welfare schemes announced for the tribal population, is projected to bag 41 to 53 seats in the 90-member assembly by garnering 43.4 per cent share of the votes.

The exit polls show BJP breathing down Congress's neck, with a 41.2 per cent vote share. The saffron party, which ruled the state since the first Assembly election in 2003 till 2018, may get anywhere between 36-48 seats.

Telangana Exit Poll Result 2023

Telangana may see a new party at the helm ever since it was carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, with Congress predicted to dislodge Bharat Rashtra Samiti of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Congress is likely to bag 49-65 seats in the 119-member Assembly. The grand old party, which saw its campaign led by state chief Revanth Reddy, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, is likley to get 40.7 per cent of the votes.

The BRS, which is banking on transformative schemes such as Rythu Bandhu for a hat-trick of wins, may get 38-54 seats with a vote share of 38.8 per cent. In 2018, KCR secured a landslide victory by winning 87 of the 119 seats. The party upped its tally from 63 seats that it won in 2014 polls.

The BJP, which is aiming to get a foothold in the southern state after losing Karnataka earlier this year, is projected to get 5-13 seats. It won one seat last time. Others, including AIMIM, are likely to get 5-9 seats.

Mizoram Exit Poll Result 2023

The ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) seems to be on shaky ground as per the ABP-CVoter exit polls, which has predicted a close fight between the Zoramthanga-led party and the emerging Zoram People's Movement (ZPM).

MNF is predicted to win anywhere between 15-21 seats in the 40-member assembly, while the ZPM may bag 12-18 seats. Congress may bag 2-8 seats and play the role of 'kingmaker'. Zoramthanga's MN could lose power if ZPM and Congress decide to join hands.

In the 2018 polls, MNF won 26 out of the 40 seats while the Congress could win only five seats.
