'Modi Thinks He Is Tees Maar Khan': Congress Chief Kharge Says PM Insulted Bihar With 'Mujra' Remark

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticised PM Modi's "mujra" comment, calling it an insult to Bihar. Kharge remarked that the Prime Minister thinks he is "Tees Maar Khan".

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent 'mujra' remark against opposition leaders, stating it as an insult to Bihar. Speaking at an election rally in support of Manoj Kumar, Congress leader and Mahagathbandhan nominee for the Sasaram Lok Sabha seat, Kharge criticised Modi's choice of words, asserting that it denigrated Bihar and its people.

Kharge's remarks came in response to Modi's pledge to counter alleged efforts to deprive Dalits and backward classes of their reservation rights by the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, whom he accused of pandering to their Muslim vote bank through subservience and 'mujra'. Addressing a poll rally in the state on Saturday, Modi vowed to thwart such attempts, claiming to protect the rights of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

"Modi ji insulted Bihar by using this word... it means mujra happens here. This is an insult to Bihar and its people. This is not how a PM should talk. He should be talking in a statesman-like manner," asserted Kharge.

Accusing Modi of self-glorification, Kharge remarked that the Prime Minister thinks he is "Tees Maar Khan" and went on to assert that the true power lies with the people. He warned against a potential third term for Modi, suggesting that it could lead to a suppression of free speech.

Lok Sabha Election Is 'People Vs Modi' And Not 'Rahul Vs Modi': Kharge

The Congress president accused the BJP of stoking communal tensions to divert attention from critical issues such as unemployment and inflation. He called for a united front against divisive forces, alleging attempts to sow discord along religious and caste lines.

"This election is very crucial... it's an election to save democracy and the Constitution. We have to fight unitedly. This election is basically 'people vs Modi' and not 'Rahul vs Modi'," asserted Kharge.

While expressing respect for Modi's position as Prime Minister, Kharge criticised his alleged disregard for leaders of the Congress party, accusing him of favouring the wealthy over the underprivileged.

The upcoming voting in Sasaram, Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Arrah, Buxar, Karakat, and Jehanabad Lok Sabha constituencies on June 1 marks the final phase of the election.
